​​​​​​​Yerevan (IP) – Iran's ambassador to Yerevan and the deputy prime minister of Armenia met and discussed the importance of developing railway lines between the two countries.

Iran PressAsia: Iran's Ambassador to Yerevan, Abbas Badakhshan-Zohuri, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan.

The meeting discussed important issues of the bilateral agenda, especially cooperation in the energy field and transportation.

The importance of the operationalization of the railway between Armenia and Iran in case of removal of the possible blockage of regional transport connections and the prospect of expanding the relevant cooperation was especially emphasized.

It was also agreed that in the near future, the meeting of the monitoring committee on implementing the memorandum of understanding of the 17th meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Armenia and Iran would be held, during which topics of mutual interest will be discussed in more detail.
