Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking at the 7th Malik Ashtar Festival on Thursday, Major General Hossein Salami called a divine inspiration on Imam Khomeini's blessed heart as the source of the formation of Basij.
"I believe that the idea of forming the great organization of Basij ( voluntary force) was a divine inspiration on the blessed heart of the Late Imam Khomeini," he added.
The chief commander of the IRGC called the Basij the strong shield which could block the way for God's enemies and force them to run away.
He said the terrorists and hostile groups wanted to disturb the atmosphere of mental peace in the nations with separatist conspiracies and terrorist actions and propaganda.

Major General Hossein Salami warned the states of the world that Iran will cut the hands of those who want to endanger national security.
