Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Minister of Labor, Cooperatives, and Social Welfare says that with the raw materials for antibiotic drugs being supplied, the production of the drugs has increased eight times compared to last year.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, Solat Mortazavi reported that there were 32 tons of raw materials for making antibiotics medicines in the customs office. 

Mortazavi said: "Currently, 32 tons of raw materials for the production of antibiotics are being cleared at the customs."

He stated that the production of antibiotics has increased to 3 million doses per month and that there would be no reduction in the amount. 

The minister also reported on the increase in serum production in full-automatic lines, noting that the monthly production of the serums has increased from 3 million to 6 million.

Recently, rumors spread in the country that there was a lack of antibiotics and serums in the pharmacies.
