Iranian 96 kg weightlifter Sohrab Moradi won title of world championship after he broke two world records in snatch and clean and jerk categories and clinched the whole 3 gold medals.

Iran Press/Iran News: Moradi successfully hoisted 186 kilograms in the snatch before hoisting 230 kilograms in the clean and jerk which smashed the world’s record, winning three gold medals in the snatch and clean and jerk and the combined event.

On the seventh day of the 2018 World Championship Competitions, Sohrab Moradi won gold medal in 96 kilogram category by lifting 186 a weight of kilogram in the snatch, according to IRNA.

In the clean and jerk category, Moradi lifted 230 kilograms, wining the second gold. He tried to lift 237 kilograms, but he won the third medal for the combined total of the two earlier competitions.

The 2018 World Weightlifting Championships are being held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from 1 to 10 November 2018. 101/207
