IME monthly report;

Tehran (IP) - Within the month ending on October 22, 2022, the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) traded on its physical market 10,619,520 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 2.3 billion USD, logging a 7% growth in volume and value of trades compared with the month before that.

Iran PressIran News: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME traded on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 1,719,000 tonnes of commodities valued at nearly 850 million USD.

The IME's customers purchased on this floor 472,010 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 528,404 tonnes of bitumen, 357,011 tonnes of polymeric products, 160,000 tonnes of lube cut, 148,706 tonnes of chemicals, 25,200 tonnes of sulfur, 12,453 tonnes of oil and 3,870 tonnes of insulation.

Furthermore, the exchange saw the trade of 8,812,000 tonnes of commodities worth more than 1.5 billion USD on its metals and minerals trading floor. Items traded on this floor included 4,637,000 tonnes of cement, 1,627,000 tonnes of steel, 1,952,000 tonnes of iron ore, 512,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 34,375 tonnes of aluminum, 34,255 tonnes of zinc, 28,731 tonnes of copper, 800 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 39 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 73 kg of gold bars.

Last was the IME's side market, on which the exchange traded 87,534 tonnes of commodities.
