Astana (IP) – Iran's president and the Qatari Emir met, discussed on bilateral and regional relations on Thursday in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Iran PressAsia: On the sidelines of the 6th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Astana, Kazakhstan, President Ebrahim Raisi met and held talks with the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The sixth summit of the CICA commenced on Thursday morning. The summit was chaired by the President of Kazakhstan and attended by President Ebrahim Raisi and ten other heads of state.

Raisi had arrived in the Kazakh capital on Wednesday evening to attend the event.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and the Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to Iranian President Mohammad Jamshidi are accompanying President Raisi during his trip.

Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, South Korea, China, Russia, India, Palestine, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Thailand are some members of the 27-member forum.
