Afghanistan (IP) – A huge blast hit a mosque in Kabul in the vicinity of the heavily fortified Taliban Interior Ministry compound on Wednesday, with reportedly dozens of killed and casualties.

Iran PressAsia: On August 31, 2021, in the early morning, the last American soldier left Afghan soil and ended the US invasion of Afghanistan after 20 years. A few days earlier, on August 15, the Taliban had teken power in Kabul.

Terrorist incidents in various regions of Afghanistan, especially Kabul, have increased in recent days despite the Taliban's claim to provide security in various regions of the country. In last Friday's bloody attack on Kaj educational center in "Dasht Barchi" area west of Kabul, dozens of students were killed.

The blast took place at the Taliban Interior Ministry’s mosque, according to media reports, citing Afghan local media.

Moreover, Aljazeera has cited security sources reporting that 25 people had been killed and dozens wounded in the explosion.

The Spokesman for the Taliban Interior Ministry, Abdul Nafe Takour, announced that four worshipers had been killed and 25 others wounded in the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for that attack so far.
