Tehran (IP) - The enemies seek to prevent Iran from improving and make it isolated, but their plot was thwarted, says the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking in the High Council for Promotion of Self-Sacrifice and Martyrdom Culture, Ebrahim Raisi said on Sunday: "In a time when the Islamic Republic was overcoming its economic problems and getting more active in the region and the world, the enemies stepped in with the intention of isolating the country, but they failed to realize their plot."

Raisi referred to the case of Mahsa Amini, who, under the pretext of her death, unrest was created in some parts of the country, and said the case was tightly being pursued by the competent authorities, yet recalled the West's double standards: "At the same time, the enemy is seeking to divert the general public by taking extensive media measures, as a group of Afghan girls are killed by the US-backed terrorist groups in a school, but none of the human rights' advocates showed any reaction."

Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian girl, fainted because of a heart attack at the police department in Tehran on Tuesday, September 13, after being taken there for violation of dress codes along with some other women.

Unfortunately, she died. The death of the girl then became an excuse for the rioters to make unrest in the country, harm the police officers, and destroy public property.

"In such a circumstance, is the West's claim for pursuing the rights of women acceptable?" he asked.

The president stressed the promotion of the self-sacrifice culture in the society and stressed that the culture could save the Iranian youth from social harm.
