Tehran (IP) - Iran's government spokesman stresses that the rioters and those who provoked them in the recent unrest must compensate for the harm they caused to the Iranian nation.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, Ali Bahadori-Jahromi said: "In recent days, we have seen organized acts of sabotage the grounds for which were prepared by the opposition media."

Bahadori-Jahromi said that the public properties suffered a lot of damage and that the executive agencies were assigned to compensate for the harm.

The Minister of Intelligence Esmaeil Khatib also presented a report on the close cooperation of the opposition media in the social networks with the rioters.

He appreciated the Iranian people for staging rallies and separating themselves from the rioters.

Mahsa Amini is a name that has hit the headlines over the past days for her death at hospital days after she was taken by the Iranian police over her non-compliance with the Islamic dress code. While demonstrations have been held across the country, demanding clarification regarding her death, there have been violent protests and riots, leading to attacks on morality police and acts of vandalism against public property.

The seditionist groups, mostly guided by influencers abroad, burnt Holy Quran, set fire to mosques, and harassed Muslim women.

The rioters guided by the opposition groups outside Iran are destroying the public properties of the Iranian nation, injuring police officers, and even attacking ambulances.
