Tehran(IP)-In a telephone conversation with his Omani counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran said that issuing a non-constructive statement in the Vienna talks has no effect.

Iran PressIran news: In the new round of negotiations in Vienna, centered on the lifting of sanctions against Iran, which was held on August 4-8, 2022, several proposals were made by "Enrique Mora," the European Union's deputy secretary general for political affairs who acts as coordinator in the talks. 

In the phone call between the ministers of foreign affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman, the latest developments in negotiations to lift sanctions were discussed, and opinions were exchanged.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Hossein Amir- Abdollahian, stressed the adherence of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the process of dialogue and exchange of messages for the lifting of sanctions and referred to the efforts of all parties during the past few months.

Referring to the recent meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran added:" Issuing a non-constructive statement at the Vienna meeting has no effect."

During the conversation, Amir- Abdollahian once again emphasized the necessary will and goodwill on the part of Tehran to reach the final step of a good, strong and stable agreement.

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi also stressed the importance of reaching an agreement and returning all parties to their commitments while appreciating Tehran's constructive role in the negotiation process and emphasizing the necessity of getting a positive conclusion after months of negotiations.
