Iranian MPs are debating in an open session of the parliament, reviewing the suitability, qualifications and merits of four proposed ministers. The MPs will soon cast their ballots in a vote of confidence for president Hassan Rouhani's ministerial nominees.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking in support of the candidate for the post of minister of economy and finance, Farhad Dezhpasand, spokesman for the Planning and Budget Committee and The Supreme Audit court of Majlis, Gholamreza Kateb said: "He had an effective role in codification of principal and primary laws and regulations especially 'The Supreme Audit court law', 'The Compensation of Planning and Budget Law' and 'Added Value Tax law', during the time that he served in Planning and Budget Committee; he has a very precise knowledge and understanding of these rules and laws and how they are applied.

Referring to his 5-year history of working with Dezhpsand in the Plan and Budget Organization, Kateb continued, "he traversed management steps from a bachelor's degree to a vice chairman in the planning and budgeting organization, and has gained experience over many years, being a candidate of merit".

Member of health and medical treatment commission of the Majlis, Mohsen Alijani Zamani, another MP who spoke in support of the proposed minister for economy and possess ministry said: "he is an efficient guy and has a good experience in the economic fields and his opinions are in line with the government and furthermore, he is looking for strategic goals, productive and smart economy, and calls for the elimination of turmoil as well as increase investment and business improvement.

He added, "enhancing economic diplomacy, facilitating non-oil exports, managing the economy are some positive issues that are also part of Dezhpasand's program.

Representative of  Ahwaz in the Majlis, Ali Sari, speaking in opposition to the proposed minister of economics and finance, pointed out that he was not presenting a functional plan for welfare of the public and safeguarding the national resources and capital.

Also speaking in opposition to proposed minister of labour, cooperatives and social welfare, Mohammad Shariatmadari, representative of Pave, Javanrud, Salas Babajani, Shahab Naderi said: "If he was eligible, why he resigned from Industry ministry?

Naderi added, in past months, representatives were seeking for impeachment of Shariatmadari because he didn’t attend in any of the parliament's sessions so how can we trust in a person who doesn’t respect the law ?

Iranian MP's are discussing the suitability and eligibility of four nominees proposed by President Hassan Rouhani.

The representative of Shoushtar in this open session in a speech in opposition to "Mohammad Eslami" as the proposed minister of roads and urban development said: "Our votes for or against the nominees are  based on the accountability and realization of the country's prospects."

He added: "Elimination of poverty should be considered a form of Islamic Jihad and our people are waiting for the government as the commander of crisis management, to provide them with comfort."

Another representative, "Mohammad Ali Pour Mokhtar" in a defensive speech, pointing to the country's special situation and also the long-standing and open hostility of the US said that today, the representatives of parliament should understand the country's sensitive conditions and approve the proposed nominees with unity, unanimity, and empathy.

He added: "In this way we can managed to resist the plots of the enemy."
