A member of the Iranian Parliament's judicial and legal commission, Mohammad Ali Pourmokhtar, has emphasized that discussions are continuing among parliamentarians about the suitability, qualifications and merits of president Rouhani's nominees for four ministerial posts.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press news agency on Wednesday, Mohammad Ali Pourmokhtar said: "President Hassan Rouhani's ministerial nominations were submitted to parliament (Majlis) a few days ago. As talks continued between the parliamentarians regarding the suitability, experience and qualification of the nominees for the ministerial post they have been nominated for, and also as discussions continue between the parliamentarians and the nominees about their future plans, Iranian MPs will make up their minds and reach a decisions about each nominee accordingly."

The member of Iranian Parliament's judicial and legal commission added: "What would happen in the vote of confidence session of parliament is formal in a sense, since most parliamentarians would have made up their minds before the session even begins."

Mohammad Ali Pourmokhtar added: "In the vote of confidence session of parliament, parliamentarians would express their views about each nominee. We hope that the process of a vote of confidence for the nominees would not take more than a day , and hopefully would be finished by nighttime."

Iran's parliament will hold a vote of confidence session next Monday on Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's ministerial nominees.

In a letter to the Parliament on Sunday, Hassan Rouhani has proposed new picks for labor, economy, industry and road ministries.

Mohammad Shariatmadari has been suggested for the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare, which has been run by a caretaker minister since the impeachment of Minister Ali Rabiei on August 8 by the Iranian Parliament over mismanagement.

Farhad Dezhpasand, the ex-deputy head of Iran’s Budget and Planning Organization, has been proposed to take the role of economy minister.

Reza Rahmani, the deputy minister of industry and trade, is suggested for ministerial role in the same ministry.

And, Mohammad Eslami has been proposed for Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
