Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani has said the United States will definitely fail in its bid to make 4th November a bitter day in the collective memory of Iranians.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at the session of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution on Tuesday evening, President Hassan Rouhani said, “As Imam Khomeini’s (May God bless his soul) exile was instructed by the United States and the Prime Minister of the [Shah’s] regime because of his heated speeches against capitulation, today, the US government is seeking to change 4th November (Aban 13th Hijri Shamsi month) into a bitter memory for the people of Iran, but they will definitely fail because of the resistance of the great people of Iran and the brave Leader we have”, Official website of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated.

“Culture has been the main element of the victory of the Revolution and protection of the Islamic system, and the government is working as hard as it can to resolve people’s problems and hardships in line with its lofty Islamic culture and the path of the progeny of Prophet Muhammad,” Rouhani continued.

Rouhani added, Aban month (October and November) is historic point of Iranians’ independence, fighting tyranny, exploitation/Islamic Movement proud of revolution leaders’ steadfastness for independence/US can’t turn 13 Aban (November 4) to bitter memory for Iranians.

President described Aban month the historic point of Iranian nation’s independence seeking and fighting tyranny and exploitation and referred to the ardent speech of Imam Khomeini (May God bless his soul) in Aban 4, 1343 (October 26, 1964) against the Capitulation Bill, saying, “The Islamic Movement is proud of the brave steadfastness of the leaders of the Revolution and its Imam towards the independence of the country”.In another part of his speech, President Rouhani referred to the history-making holding of Arbaeen ceremony as one of the most important religious values, saying, “In the recent years, the Arbaeen headquarters of the government has been very active and the government is working with all its might to provide different facilities to contribute to its holding as best and safe as possible”.

The President also appreciated the Minister of Interior’s report on the work of the organs and institutions for holding the Arbaeen ceremony.
