Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Foreign Minister says the Islamic Republic's discourse and performance in foreign policy have been established based on independence, peace, and dignity.

Iran PressIran news: In a meeting with the World Assembly of Ahl al-Bayt members and other guests from 118 countries held in Tehran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussed the status quo of the Islamic world and the threats and opportunities ahead of it. 

Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian called the preparation of the grounds for the world's Muslim scholars' exchange of thoughts one of the valuable achievements of the 7th General Forum of the World Assembly of Ahl al-Bayt.

He pointed to the enemies' attempts to cast division among the Muslims and misrepresent Islam as a violent religion, putting emphasis on the unity of the Islamic factions and efforts to introduce genuine Islam.

The Iranian FM stressed the creation of a global consensus against violence, focusing on the discourse of Islamic peace and justice and divulging the contradictory aspects of Western human rights.
