Iran press/Asia: The 11th Asian Junior Taekwondo Competition started on Friday with the participation of 285 Taekwondo players from 28 countries in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Bagging 15 colorful medals, including 11 golds, 2 silvers, and 2 bronzes, the Iranian team stands first in the competitions.
In the boys' group, Iran stood first with 5 golds, 2 silvers, and 2 bronzes, passing over South Korea and China; while in the girls' group, the Iranian junior taekwondo snatched 6 golds, with China and South Korea standing second and third, respectively.
Raziyeh Aghajanpour, the head coach of the girls' team, and Vahid Abdollahi, the head coach of the boys' team, won the best coach title in the event.
Still, Amir-Hossein Maleki, a gold winner of the Iranian team, won the most technical taekwondo player.
