Iran's swimmers in the 100m freestyle competitions won the bronze medal at the Solidarity Games of Islamic countries.

Iran PressAsia: More than 6,000 athletes and officials have descended on Turkiye’s Konya to compete in the fifth edition of the Games that opened on Tuesday (August 9) and are due to finish on August 18.

Iran's sports caravan attended this round of competitions with 240 athletes in 16 courses.

According to Iran Press' correspondent, in the final stage of the 100 meters freestyle swimming competitions at the Islamic Solidarity Games, the team of Iranian swimmers consisting of Sina Gholampour, Matin Sohran, Samyar Abdoli, and Alireza Yavari recorded a time of 3 minutes, 22 seconds and 46 hundredths, while breaking last Iran's record, they won the bronze medal of these games.

In this event, Turkish swimmers won the gold medal with a time record of 3 minutes, 20 seconds, and 60 hundredths of a second, and Uzbek swimmers won the silver medal with a time of 3 minutes, 22 seconds, and 25 hundredths of a second. 219
