Tehran (IP) - Iran's President said: "In the future, we will have new achievements in aerospace science, which will greatly help the environment, mineral exploration, natural disasters management, and border monitoring.

Iran PressIran news: Ebrahim Raisi described the successful placement of the 'Khayyam' satellite in orbit, message reception, control, and data management by Iranian experts as honorable and authoritative during a speech at the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday.

Referring to the importance of aerospace knowledge as a driver to help the development of the country in various fields, the President noted: "The 13th Administration intends to make up for the backwardness in this field and in the future we will witness the unveiling of new achievements in this field, which will make a great contribution to the environment, mineral exploration, natural hazard management and border monitoring."

While honoring Journalists' Day and appreciating their efforts to inform society, Raisi emphasized the importance of explanation and urged his colleagues in the government to report the actions of the government in all sectors to the people in constructive and sincere interaction with the media."

The President emphasized: "The popular administration has made all its efforts to solve problems from the very first day of its establishment, and it is necessary to inform the people of these efforts in an artistic way, while if any promise or work is left on the ground, the reasons for it should be explained to the people."

In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Raisi honored the memory of Shrine Defender martyrs by referring to the naming of the 9th of August as their name in the official calendar of the country and clarified: "The Shrine Defenders are the guardians of the sacred space of Islam, who, in the face of oppression, are passionate about values and defended and were martyred."

Honoring the memory of the martyred Lt. Gen Qasem Soleimani and Hossein Hamedani, the President said, "The martyrs who defended the shrine, in addition to guarding the shrines of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), also defended the security and authority of the country."
