The Iranian and Chinese negotiators in the talks over the revival of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), met in Vienna on Thursday.

Iran PressEurope: The Iranian delegation is led by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani arrived in the Austrian capital Vienna on Wednesday.

Earlier on Thursday, Bagheri Kani met Austrian Deputy Foreign Minister Peter Launsky-Tieffentha and the European Union’s Coordinator of the JCPOA revival talks Enrique Mora.

More negotiations are set to take place between the Iranian delegation and other parties within different formats.

Since the US withdrawal, the remaining parties have held several talks to revive the deal. The talks failed to make breakthroughs due to the US's failure to show goodwill and excessive demands. A new round of talks is due to start in the Austrian capital. Iran's top negotiator has called on the US government to seize the latest opportunity.
