Yazd (IP) - As monsoon rains engulfed parts of Iran, including Yazd province in central Iran, the young volunteers across the country went to the flood-hit areas to help the people.

Iran PressIran news: The volunteers, or the so-called Basijis, now are in Yazd, a flood-hit desert area in the country; they help people either by emptying their people hoses from the flood or cooking food for them or preparing the things the people need. 

The head of one of the Basiji groups dispatched to Yazd, Zareian, told Iran Press correspondent that the volunteers equipped with trucks, floor sweeper machines, and water pumps entered the flood-hit areas to help the people until the crisis was settled completely. 

One of the young Basijis also told Iran Press: "We are the members of the Ansar Amirulmomenin (assistants of Imam Ali (AS)) people-oriented group; we are here to rescue the people from flood." 

Following the flooding in parts of Iran, which has destroyed dozen of houses, the rescue forces are providing relief efforts in the flood-hit area.
