Tehran (IP) - Spokesman for Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in a tweet that Iran expects the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to fulfill its responsibility in this field based on its charter.

Iran PressIran News: In a tweet referring to the appointment of Mohsen Naziri Asl as the ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UN office in Vienna and as Iran's envoy to the International Aomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Nasser Kanani, the spokesperson of Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on his Tweeter account: "The IAEA and its Director General are expected to put on their agenda the right of all states' parties, develop research and production and use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination and in conformity with their basic non-proliferation obligations."

He added that Israel's apartheid regime does not put its advanced nuclear military program under international organizations' supervision, which is a serious threat to international security and the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
