Tehran (IP)- The United States along with the Israeli regime, have gathered the authorities of 30 countries in a struggle to form a coalition against Lebanon's Hezbollah.

Iran PressAmerica: Diplomats, law enforcement officers, intelligence experts from Israel, Saudi Arabia, four other Persian Gulf states, and two dozen additional countries gathered in late June for a two-day meeting organized by the US State Department on countering Hezbollah's activities, Axios reported. 

The Law Enforcement Coordination Group meeting, which was held in 2014, was part of the US effort to mobilize countries to counter the activities of Hezbollah, a US State Department official revealed.

Thirty countries participated in the meeting held in Europe on June 29 and 30. This was the first meeting since the inauguration of Joe Biden as the President of the United States.

Officials from Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and most European, African, and Latin American countries participated in this meeting, informed sources told the media.

A US State Department official, who was present at this meeting, announced that during the event, efforts were made to join more countries, especially in Africa and Latin America.

European countries that recently listed Hezbollah as a terrorist group has encouraged other countries to follow suit, the official said.
