Tehran (IP) - The wushu qualification competitions for the Iran team to the 8th World Junior Wushu Championship (WJWC) wrapped up in Tehran on Friday, July 8.

Iran PressIran News:  The 8th edition of the World Junior Wushu Championship (WJWC) will be held from December 2nd to December 10th, 2022, in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia.

The Secretary of Iran's Wushu Federation, Alireza Bahraman told Iran Press that the Iranian wushukas engaged in competitions after two years due to the corona pandemic. 

He said that the Iranian athletes have yet to reach the ideal readiness, but the coaching staff would bring the best of the team to the peak of preparation in the exerting camps.  

More than 250 wushukas, both in taolu and sanda, competed with each other. The selected athletes will take part in the preparatory camp in September.
