"He’s just trying to find a smokescreen ... Nonsense," said Zarif commenting on Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's accusations.
Zarif added: "Netanyahu’s latest attempt at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in which he put on show pictures of an alleged Iranian nuclear weapons storage site, was meant to divert attention and conceal the regime's own nuclear arsenal."
The top Iranian diplomat said: "If Netanyahu is concerned about Iran's nuclear program, the best way to ensure the safety of Iran's nuclear programme is to support the nuclear deal (JCPOA) he has done his best to undermine."

Netanyahu is desperately seeking to find a pretext to create a hype about Iran's nuclear program Iranian Foreign Minister said.
Zarif had earlier dismissed Netanyahu’s claims about Iran’s secret nuclear sites, saying in a tweet on Thursday that the Israeli regime was the only entity in the world that had always refused to disclose facts about its nuclear weapons.
“No arts & craft show will ever obfuscate that Israel is only regime in our region with a 'secret' and 'undeclared' nuclear weapons program - including an 'actual atomic arsenal'. Time for Israel to fess up and open its illegal nuclear weapons program to international inspectors,” said the Iranian foreign minister in a tweet on Thursday.
The IAEA has issued 12 reports on Iran’s compliance with terms of an international agreement on the country’s nuclear program which was signed in July 2015 between Tehran and six world powers.
Netanyahu used a map and photographs of a building that he claimed was a secret atomic weapons warehouse
In a speech before the UN, Netanyahu, said his country’s spies had located “a secret atomic warehouse for storing massive amounts of equipment and material from Iran’s secret nuclear weapons programme in Turquzabad ”.
Iran has repeatedly announced that its nuclear program is merely for peaceful purposes and poses no threat to the international peace and security.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and European countries have consistently said Iran is abiding by the terms of the nuclear deal.
Israel is estimated to have 200 to 400 nuclear warheads in its arsenal. The regime, however, refuses to either accept or deny having the weapons.
It has also evaded signing the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) amid staunch endeavor by the United States and other Western states on international levels in favor of its non-commitment to the accord.
