South Korea (IP) - Deputy Minister of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts for Tourist Affairs presented a report on the country's approach to global tourism management at the 2022 World Tourism Summit in South Korea.

Iran PressAsia: Attending the two-day meeting on June 24 in Seoul, Ali-Asghar Shalbafan presented a report on Iran's measures, plans, and approaches to tourism during and after the coronavirus outbreak.

The nationwide vaccination, the reduction of the corona patients to a minimum, and the death toll to zero, as well as the support for tourism activists as part of the administrative measures to make tourism survive during the peak of the corona pandemic. 

An increase in domestic tourism, the high influx of foreign tourists, facilitation of vis issuance, and hosting the tourists from the neighboring countries were among the points Shalbafan mentioned in the post-corona era. 

As with ecotourism, the Iranian top tourism official presented a full report about the actions of the National Committee for Ecotourism, Iran's approach to the use of natural resources in the development of tourism, as well as the achievements in launching eco-lodges and resorts across the country.
