Canada’s High Commissioner to Islamabad was summoned to Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday and a strong demarche was served on a Canadian MP’s “irresponsible and un-diplomatic” remarks.

Iran PressAsia: Islamabad has lodged a strong diplomatic protest with Canada over the ‘irresponsible’ remarks of Member of Parliament Tom Kimeck against Pakistan’s military leadership.

The diplomat was told that the recent statement by Canada’s Member of Parliament Tom Kimeck against Pakistan was against diplomatic norms and was highly irresponsible.

Earlier this month, he participated in a walk for the rights of Sindhis. According to www.pakstrategic.com, along with Tariq Fatah, who is accused of defaming Pakistan globally, Tom is allegedly promoting Indian-backed terrorist groups in Pakistan’s Sindh province.

Tom Kimeck is a Canadian MP for Calgary Shepard in the House of Commons. Last week Tom Kimeck accused Pakistan of violating the rights of minorities, including the people of Sindh.

He is accused of campaigning for groups hostile to the state of Pakistan. He supported the Ottawa-Freedom Walk for Sindh’s solidarity with the Canadian public for human rights, climate change, environmental justice, and love for nature, reports EIN Newswire.
