Iran Press/ America: The President of Venezuela arrived in Tehran on Friday, June 10, at the head of a high-ranking political and economic delegation to meet with the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Meetings and talks with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as visits to the achievements of Iranian knowledge-based companies were among the plans of the Venezuelan President to visit Tehran.
Nicolas Maduro in an interview with Al-Mayadeen on Monday, referring to his visit to Tehran, said: "We are very surprised by the level of progress of Iran in the field of science and technology that it has achieved in recent years."
Maduro also referred to the agreements reached between Venezuela and the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that the signing of a 20-year cooperation agreement and joint action with Iran is an extremely important issue.
The Venezuelan president further noted that the Iranian president has emphasized the expansion of science and technology networks between the two countries.
The Venezuelan president also said on the Palestinian issue: "Venezuela's permanent view toward the Palestinian issue is to affirm the historic right of the Palestinian people to the independence of their land." 219
