Kazakhstan(IP)- Iranian freestyle wrestler Amir Hossein Zare won the Turlikhanov gold medal as the other Iranian grabbed the silver on the first day of The 57kg and 125kg international competitions of the Turlikhanov Cup in Kazakhstan.

Iran PressAsia: The 2022 Bolat Turlykhanov Cup wrestling event in Almaty, Kazakhstan, began on June 2 and will continue until June 5, 2022. It will be held as the second of the ranking series of United World Wrestling (UWW). 

Snatching 4 gold, four silver, and three bronze medals, Iran's Greco-Roman wrestling team won the championship title of the competition. 

Moreover, Rahman Amouzad, Younes Emami, Hassan Yazdani, Kamran Qasempour, Amir Hossein Firoozpour, and Amir Hossein Zare are called up for the competition.

On the first day of the freestyle section of the competition, In the 125 kg weight category, Amirhossein Zare defeated Oleg Boltin of Kazakhstan 9-7 in the first round.

World heavyweight champion Zare competed against Kazakhstan's Yusup Batyrmorzayev, who won 21-10 and gold.

Before this, Amir Hossein Firoozpour won a silver medal. Hassan Yazdani and Kamran Ghasempour will be on the mat tomorrow.
