Tehran (IP) - The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says pinning hope to stoke unrest in Iran and make people turn their back on the Islamic Republic is the enemies' miscalculation.

Iran PressIran news: Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks on Saturday on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini in the holy mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic.

"The most important hope of the enemy is to rely on people-based protests to put the people against the Islamic establishment, but this miscalculation on the enemy's side is like its many other miscalculations because the Islamic Republic matters a lot to the people," the leader stressed.

"Some American advisers are traitorous Iranians who give them the wrong advice, and they betray not only their country but even the Americans because they advise them without the right information and end up failing," he added.

Also, inside the country, some naive but limited people accept and repeat these words, the leader noted.

"Today, people's loyalty to revolution and tendency religion is more than from the first days of the revolution and certainly anyone wants to understand it, he must look at the million-man funeral of Martyr Soleimani," he added.

Iran takes back its oil

"Iranian oil is stolen off the coast of Greece, the brave soldiers of the Islamic Republic retaliated and seized the enemy oil ship and the media empire accused Iran of stealing! You stole our oil; we took it back from you. Taking it back is not theft; you are a thief," Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized.

Today resistance is prominent word in world's political literature

"We are making progress, we also have backwardness and this is undeniable. The school and the path are right. Wherever we went in the right direction, we progressed; wherever we did wrong, we fell behind. Of course, the role of the enemies should not be ignored," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

"The arrogant and oppressive are the enemies of the Islamic Republic. The Westerners plundered the world for three centuries, from East Asia and the Indian subcontinent to Africa and the Americas. Read books to understand better these facts and tragedies, murder and slavery and the slogan of defending human rights is a masterpiece of Western civilization. Today resistance is a prominent word in world political literature," the Leader noted.

Imam, role model for next generations

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said Imam Khomeini is the spirit of the Islamic Republic and if this spirit is taken from the Islamic Republic, nothing will remain from it.

He emphasized the need to get to know Imam Khomeini properly as an exceptional figure in the true sense of the word.

"Getting to know Imam is important for the young generation because it helps them to manage the future of the country optimally. The Imam is not only the Imam of yesterday, he is also the Imam of today and tomorrow," the Leader noted.

Our young and intelligent generation, which is supposed to take the national and revolutionary responsibility of the second step of this revolution and manage the future of the country, needs real software in order to follow the path of the revolution properly, he added.

"This software, which can be the accelerator and transformative, is one of the lessons that can be found in the words and behavior of the Imam," Ayatollah Khamenei stressed.

Iran's Islamic Revolution biggest in history of revolutions

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said Iran's Islamic Revolution is the biggest one in the history of the world's revolutions.

He went on to address the characteristics of the late Imam Khomeini, saying: "The first point about the Imam is his leadership of the greatest revolution in the history of revolutions. The most famous of all the revolutions are the French Revolution of 1789 and the Soviet Revolution of 1917, but the Islamic Revolution is greater than both, and for a variety of reasons."

"These two revolutions (France and the Soviet Union) won with the people in the scene, but after that, the people had no role and were pushed aside and could not continue the revolution that they had created with their own bodies and souls and with their presence in the streets. As a result, these two revolutions quickly deviated from the original people-oriented path," the Leader said.

"After about 13 years, the French Revolution became a monarchy again and Napoleon came to power and was in power for 15 years, and then the same families against whom the French Revolution took place, returned and took over the country. When people are not in the scene, the result is this!" Ayatollah Khamenei noted.

Ayatollah Khamenei said: "The Soviet revolution was less than 12 years old when Stalin and his successors exercised such tyranny that the monarchies before them did not witness this extent of tyranny and again, the people were marginalized!"

Islamic Revolution won with the presence and souls of the people

"But the Islamic Revolution won with the presence and souls of the people, but the people were not sidelined. Less than two months after the victory, a nationwide referendum was held and the people elected the system of governance," he noted.

"About a year after the victory, the first president was elected by the people, and a few months later, the first Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) was formed by the people, and to date, nearly 50 elections have been held in the country and the people themselves are present. Imam was the Leader of such a great revolution," the Leader added.

Spirituality, another aspect of greatness of Iran's revolution

"Spirituality in the revolution is another aspect of the greatness of our revolution; In the French and Russian revolutions and other small revolutions of the 19th and 20th centuries, spirituality, which is one of the basic needs of human existence, was lost and no one paid attention to it, but the Islamic Revolution paid attention to the material and spiritual aspects of human beings," he said.

Imam's trust in people

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution went on to describe various aspects of Imam Khomeini's character, saying: "One of the important characteristics of the Imam was trust in the people from the first day. Imam distinguished the value of the struggle of the people and kept their hearts confident and did not allow them to be disappointed."

He said that during the establishment of the Islamic Republic, Imam proposed a plan for governing the country that is not under the Western culture, civilization and lifestyle and is not under what is called a "republic" or "democracy" in the West. "For this reason, the Imam separated the Islamic Republic from the two common schools of the day, namely capital-based liberal democracy and dictatorial-centered communism, and proposed a new model for the Islamic Republic."

Ayatollah Khamenei said that Imam always paid attention to the poor and insisted on economic justice, along with the generation of wealth.

We do not oppress anyone and we do not accept being oppressed by anyone

"Denial of oppression was another characteristic of Imam Khomeini. We do not oppress anyone and we do not accept to be oppressed by anyone," the Leader stressed.

"We will strengthen the knowledge and economy of the country, as well as the defense of the country and its security. Both national cohesion and unity must be observed, as well as the diversity of different views and tendencies," he noted.

The thirty-third anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini commenced today, Saturday, in the presence of lovers of the great architect of the Islamic Revolution and lovers of the Leader of the Revolution in the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in mourning.

Hassan Khomeini, the custodian of the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, also delivered a speech.
