Pakistan and Turkey have signed various bilateral agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) for enhanced cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest including trade, economy, communication, environment, and housing.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Turkey's President Rajab Tayyab Ardawan also signed bilateral agreements and MoUs.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Trade and Investment Minister Syed Naveed Qamar and Turkish Trade and Transport Ministers signed the documents on behalf of their respective governments.

Shahbaz Sharif praised the Erdogan government's efforts to facilitate talks between Russia and Ukraine on a diplomatic solution and stressed the importance that Pakistan attaches to resolving the conflict in Ukraine through dialogue and diplomacy as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan thanked Turkey for its humanitarian assistance and constructive engagement in the Afghanistan issue.

Pakistan and Turkey agreed to continue to work together to advance the common goals of a peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan.

A Turkish trade delegation is scheduled to visit Pakistan this month, and the seventh meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held in September this year. 219
