Iran Press/ Europe: The International Film Festival in Cannes (France) has been held on an annual basis since 1946 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès on the Croisette. The film festival is considered one of the most prestigious in the world. The Palme d’Or is the main award of the event, which this year runs from 17 to 28 May.
The closing ceremony of the 75th Cannes Film Festival was held, and finally the film "Triangle of Sorrow" directed by "Ruben Ostlund" won the Palme d'Or for Best Picture.
This is the Swedish director’s second time winning the coveted prize. In 2017, he won for The Square, a satire of the art world.

This year's jury included Noomi Rapace, Rebecca Hall, Asghar Farhadi, Joachim Trier and Vincent Lindon, who loved their status as jury so much that they demanded to continue being juries for the next four years, their president jested. 219
