Rome (IP) - The statue of Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi, the famous Iranian poet in Italy, was cleaned and restored on the occasion of the day of commemoration of this epic poet.

Iran PressEurope: The 25th of Ordibehesht (May 15) has been registered in the national calendar of Iran as the day of commemoration of "Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi", the greatest epic poet of Iran and the world.

Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi was born in 329 AH in the village of 'Pazh' in the historical city of Toos in the province of Khorasan Razavi and is known as the most important and well-known Iranian and Persian orator.

The statue of the Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi, which has been installed in a square of the same name in Rome, the capital of Italy, has been restored by the Municipality of Rome with the continuous efforts and followed-up efforts of the Cultural Counselor of the Iranian Embassy in Italy.

The statue of Hakim Abolghasem, the poet of the famous Iranian epic house, was cleaned by an experienced group of restored Italian masters for 15 days before the day of Ferdowsi's commemoration in Iran.

The statue of Ferdowsi, which is made of white marble and is one meter and 85 centimeters high, is the work of "Abolhassan Sadighi", a great Iranian sculptor who was installed in 1958 in Ferdowsi Square in Rome.

Ferdowsi Square in Rome is located in one of the greenest areas of the Italian capital.
