A blast occurred at the 'Ayuob Saber Mosque' in Kabul's fifth security district while people observed Friday prayers.

Iran PressAsia: Khalid Zadran, the spokesman for the Kabul Police Command, said the blast took place during Friday prayers at the mosque.

Based on initial reports, three people were injured.

The spokesman of the Kabul Police Command added that security forces had arrived at the scene.

Security officials have not commented on the nature of the blast, and no casualties have been reported.

No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
