Brazil (IP) – The Iranian Karateka in Kumite -60 kg grabbed a gold medal at the Brazil 2021 Deaflympics.

Iran PressAmerica: After winning the first gold medal for the Iranian squad by Amir Mohammad Daftari in judo -73 kg on Tuesday night, the Iranian Karateka Milad Sadeqzadeh overpowered his Ukrainian rival to grab the gold medal in Kumite -60 kg on Wednesday morning.

The Iranian squad has won seven medals in the 2021 Deaflympics so far: two gold, one silver, and four bronze.

The 24th edition of the Deaflympics, with more than 4,000 athletes from 80 countries, kicked off last Sunday and will be wrapped up on May 15 after competing in 20 sports and introducing the best.

The Iranian squad participated in these competitions with 16 female and 59 male athletes, who will compete against their opponents in eight sports categories.
