Tehran (IP) - Iran's open RoboCup International Competition will be held at Tehran Azad University, Science and Research Branch, with the participation of more than 100 teams from universities and schools inside and outside the country.

Iran PressIran News: The 16th Iran Open RoboCup 2022 will be held by Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch of Tehran and Qazvin Islamic Azad University, Young and Elite Researchers Club of Islamic Azad University, and the National RoboCup Committee, from 14 to 16 Ordibehesht 1401 (May 4-5, 2022) in the Science and research branch.

RoboCup, or Robotics World Cup, is an international project to promote artificial intelligence, robotics, and mechatronics.

The World RoboCup Federation seeks to foster research on artificial intelligence and intelligent robots by designing a standard issue whose scope calls for all available technologies to participate and test.

RoboCup chose the game of football as the main focus of its research to create initiatives for fundamental social and industrial issues.

The ultimate goal of RoboCup is to form a fully intelligent team of humanoid robots so that it will win the World Cup in 2050 against the team entitled Champion.

Morteza Musikhani, the chairman of the National RoboCup Committee, said: "The 16th edition of the Iranian RoboCup will be held with the participation of more than 100 teams from universities and schools inside and outside the country and about 800 participants."

Iran Open RoboCup is to prepare and strengthen teams to participate in world competitions.
