Palestine (IP) - A senior member of the Hamas Political Bureau says every day must be named Quds Day so that every minute efforts are made to liberate Palestine from the Israeli occupation.

Iran PressMiddle East: On the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, by the initiative of the Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, people across the world show united support for the oppressed people of Palestine to be the voice of the voiceless people of Palestine.

In an interview with Iran Press, Mahmoud al-Zahar praised Iran's initiative of Quds Day, which aimed to stage rallies in support of Al-Quds, the capital of Palestine, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Since 1948 when the US-backed regime of Israel occupied the Muslim country, it has constantly been clashing with the Palestinian people, killing them, jailing them, destroying their homes, and constructing new settlements for the Zionist settlers.

Quds Day voice of voiceless Palestine

Mahmoud al-Zahar called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to generalize the Quds Day so that the Islamic-Arab nation's conscience was awakened over the Palestinian issue forever.

He referred to the first anniversary of 'Operation Quds Sword,' where the Israeli regime was pressed under the Palestinians' resistance and resorted to the US to help stop the operation.

The senior official noted that Palestine's resistance needs the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran and that Palestine would be liberated only through the resistance of the Palestinian nation.

Today, April 29, is the last Friday of 2022 Ramadan, the World's Quds Day.
