Afghanistan (IP) - Iran's Ambassador to Afghanistan warned that if the two countries' senior officials fail to spoil the separationist plots against the Iranian and Afghan nations.

Iran PressAsia: Bahador Aminian told Iran Press News Agency that the Afghan officials in Kabul failed to neutralize the cyber plot against the Iranian and Afghan nations.

On the third day of the holy month of Ramadan, three clerics were targeted in a knife attack in the Holy Prophet courtyard of Imam Reza's holy shrine in Mashhad, northeastern Iran. Two of the clerics were martyred, and one was injured.

The assailant was reported to be a Takfiri element with Afghan nationality.

Images showing torture and ill-treatment of Afghan refugees have gone viral in Afghan cyberspace and continued to circulate.

The incident was followed by extensive reactions from Afghan political figures and scholars.

Aminian said the enemies well knew that the sustainability and safety of the Afghan nation were subjected to their relations with Iran, so to harm the ties, they developed a plot and implemented it recently.

The ambassador recalled that the Iranian nation and senior officials considered their Afghan brothers and sister as a part of their country, culture, and civilization.
