The Iranian film Star's Game - Setare Bazi won two main awards at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival (IFF awards).

Iran PressAmerica: Star's Game is about the post-immigration crisis and a joint film between Iran and Canada.

It had also participated in the 39th Fajr International Film Festival.

The Star's Game won the first prize in the category of best director and best actor at the 'IFF awards'.

Farhad Aslani won the best actor category, and Hatef Alimardani also won the best director category.

The IFF awards are held every year at the same time as the Oscars.
