Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Rastad said that there is no problem for Indian companies' investment in Chabahar port.

Iran press/IranDeputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Managing Director of Ports and Maritime Organization    Mohammad Rastad said in a news conference on Wednesday that "It seems we would not have any problem with Indian companies' investment in Chabahar port".

"The Indian operator is still active in Chabahar port and its' investment in the port is under way", Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Managing Director of Ports and Maritime Organization  noted.

"The temporary operating contract between Iran and the Indian operator has been signed. It is the beginning of signing a long term contract of investment and utilization of Chabahar port between the two sides", Mohammad Rastad stated.

"Presenting bank guarantee by the Indian operator is going to be finalized despite some delays that it faced", Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Managing Director of Ports and Maritime Organization added.

"Next week, I will travel to India in order to continue the negotiations and also to talk about the issue of expanding marine cooperation", Rastad said.

"I wish the visit to India would be helpful for the expansion of relations between the country and Iran in the field of marine cooperation", Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Managing Director of Ports and Maritime Organization  Mohammad Rastad concluded.
