Tehran (IP) - The 38th edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran's International Holy Quran Competition was kicked off on Monday in Tehran, the capital.

Iran Press/Iran news: As the most significant event of the Islamic world, Iran's 38th International Quran Competition is underway from February 28 until March 5, with the participation of 62 competitors from 29 countries, virtually. 

The event also coincides with the 5th edition of the Quran Competition for the Blind and the 7th edition of the International Quran Competition. 

The judging of the recorded video files sent to the competition secretariat will start as of March 1, with Iranian and foreign judges in the Andisheh Hall of the Arts Center, and continues until March 4. 

The closing ceremony of the event also will be held on March 5.
