Kyiv (IP) - Due to the recent Russian attack on Ukraine and the restrictions announced by the Ukrainian government, the Iranian Embassy in Kyiv asked all Iranians residing and students to use every opportunity to leave Ukraine.

Iran PressEurope: The Iranian embassy in Ukraine announced to its citizens that if the conditions for leaving Ukraine are not provided, they are strongly requested to be stationed in safe places and shelters introduced by city and provincial officials.

The Iranian embassy emphasized: it is recommended to avoid approaching military and sensitive centers.

Officials at the Iranian embassy in Kyiv stated that the embassy is in talks with the Ukrainian government to obtain a flight permit, given that the skies of Ukraine are currently closed. 

Amir-Abdollahian urges providing Iranian nationals with 24-hour embassy services amid crisis in Ukraine

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran was briefed about the latest situation of Iranians living in Ukraine, stressing the need to provide 24-hour embassy services to them.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdolhian, in a telephone call with the Iranian Ambassador to Kyiv Manouchehr Moradi, made the necessary recommendations regarding Iranians living in Ukraine, especially Iranian students studying in Ukraine and the considered the need to provide 24-hour embassy services to the compatriots as necessary.

Amir -Abdolalhian also informed the Iranian Ambassador to Ukraine about the necessary facilities in student exit stamps for students studying in Ukraine, regardless of the existing instructions and the emergency.

This is the second telephone conversation between the Foreign Minister and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kyiv, following the critical situation in this country.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday morning ordered the launch of a special military operation to protect the Donbas region.

Putin warned that the Ukrainian government would be responsible for any possible bloodshed.

Following the Russian president's remarks, military operations began in various parts of Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that only Ukrainian military infrastructure and military airports would be targeted and that Ukrainian cities would not be bombed.
