Tehran (IP) - The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria called on everyone to think about the ultimate goal of Western countries in attacking Yemen and said that the world's silence in the face of this tragedy is meaningless.

Iran PressIran news: Amnesty International has released a report on the recent crimes of the Saudi coalition in Sa'ada, Yemen.

Amnesty International said in the report that the Saudi coalition used American guided bullets during an airstrike on Sa'ada prison in northwestern Yemen.

The outbreak of war by Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has so far killed tens of thousands and displaced millions of Yemenis, destroying over 85 percent of the country's infrastructure.

"War is a military struggle between two military forces, but in Yemen, it is a war crime against humanity," said Sheikh Ebrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), at an international conference on the dimensions of aggression in Yemen which was held online on Saturday.

The senior Nigerian cleric added: "All these airstrikes and attacks on ordinary people, killing men, women and children in their homes, and even attacking children's buses and prisons, attacking hospitals and killing patients, nurses and doctors do not mean war."

He called the UAE and Saudi Arabia the representatives of the United States, Britain and France, and other Western countries and said: "All of them are seeking the return of the ousted president to this country; but what is really the result of this trade and killing of people?

Referring to the crimes in Libya, the Nigerian Shiite leader described Iraq and Syria as similar to the current crimes in Yemen, saying: "Western countries are destroying everything, and this is a new plan and conspiracy that has been made to start a world war again and these are to protect Israel."

Yemeni war a humanitarian catastrophe

Sheikh Zakzaky called the Yemeni war a humanitarian catastrophe in the country and said: "These people are also deprived of medical services. This is a dangerous dilemma for today's world society. The Yemeni people have the right to respond and react because they are being attacked in the worst possible way."

The Nigerian cleric called resistance the only way for the Yemeni people and said: "We hope this issue would end and Yemeni people would be victorious and the arrogant forces would be eliminated as soon as possible."
