Iran Press/ Asia: On the second day of his official visit to Pakistan, Brigadier-General Ahmad Ali Goudarzi, Iranian border police commander, said on Thursday that the two friendly, neighboring, and Muslim countries of Iran and Pakistan have a valuable role in ensuring regional security criminal acts prevention at land and water borders.
Brigadier General Goodarzi added: "The border guards of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in the field of navigation, have a good relationship with the Pakistani side, and during this trip, it was emphasized that we strengthen the mechanism of interaction."
The Iranian border commander said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran always monitors the common borders with its eastern neighbor and prevents any illegal crossing, including terrorist movements, by using walls, building turrets and using modern technology."
Brigadier General Goodarzi emphasized: "The Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan are two influential countries in the region and the Islamic world and have a superior position to help maintain peace and stability in the region and joint confrontation against the enemies of peace."
The Border Police Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Karachi on Wednesday to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Pakistan and attend exercises in the sea basin.
On Wednesday, Brigadier General Goodarzi met with Rear Admiral Mirza Foad Amin Baig, the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency director-general, to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
