El Clasico:
Barcelona vs Real Madrid

Real Madrid booked their ticket to the Spanish Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia courtesy of a 3-2 extra-time win over Barcelona - their fifth straight and 100th El Clasico victory.

Iran PressEurope: Real took the lead in the first half through Vinicius Jr, as his powerful drive flew past Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the 25th minute.

Barcelona equalized just before half-time, however, as Eder Militao’s clearance from a cross rebounded off of Luuk de Jong and into the net.

After hitting the post midway through the second half, Karim Benzema put Real in front on 72 minutes, once again showcasing his wonderful poaching instincts.

Ansu Fati, a second-half substitute as head coach Xavi threw bodies forward, equalized for Barcelona with just a few minutes left to play.

But it was Real who found the breakthrough in extra time, as Federico Valverde netted the winning goal in the 98th minute, finishing well after receiving Rodrygo’s cross.

Real progress to the final and will face the winner of Atletico Madrid against Athletic Bilbao, but Barcelona will not be disheartened by this performance, looking particularly effective in possession.
