Iran Press/ Iran news: Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi arrived in Konarak on Wednesday to inspect the latest situation in the flood-hit areas of Sistan and Baluchestan province and to visit residential and flood-hit areas.
During the visit, the Iranian Interior Minister issued the necessary instructions to solve the problems of the people of the flooded city of Konarak and provide assistance to them.
Ali Akbar Mehrabian, Minister of Energy of Iran, also represented the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the flood-prone areas of Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
During the visit, Mehrabian said that according to the plans, the city of Konarak will be emptied of water by the end of tonight (Wednesday night).
According to the Iranian Minister of Energy, several pumps have been sent to transfer water from inside the houses to the city of Konarak, and Jihad oriented and specialized forces are present in the area.
So far, three cargo planes carrying relief aid have been sent to Konarak city in cooperation with the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), and this aid continues.
