Iran's foreign trade exceeds $ 72 billion

Tehran (IP) - Iran's foreign trade has exceeded $ 72 billion in the last nine months.

Iran PressIran news: Alireza Moghaddasi, Head of Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said: "From the first nine months of this year, 72 billion and one hundred million dollars were exchanged between Iran and other countries, which compared to the same period last year in terms of weight is showing 11% and value 38% growth."

Moghaddasi added: "out of the total trade done in the mentioned period, 35 billion and one hundred million dollars are allocated to exports, which has increased by 8% in terms of weight and 40% in terms of value. This amount is more than the total of exports in last year."

Moghaddasi said: "Petrochemical products worth 14 billion and 700 million dollars are the most important exports of Iran in the first nine months of this year, which accounted for 46% of the weight and 42% of the total value of exports and has grown by 40% over the same period last year."

He added that China was Iran's first trading partner with 10 billion and 200 million dollars regarding the main export destinations of Iranian goods. Iraq followed it with $ 6.8 billion, Turkey with $ 4.1 billion, the United Arab Emirates with $ 3.4 billion, and Afghanistan with $ 1.4 billion.
