Iran Press/ Iran News: At the closing ceremony, held on Sunday at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, festival’s president Afshin Zarghi said: “Creating a platform and promoting the relationship between industry and university is one of the goals of holding the festival; today, the university of medical sciences has six growth centers and 128 knowledge-based companies are located in the university and the number of their products exceeds 200.”
“Products such as kits and medicines are among them, and some of which have also been unveiled,” he added.
“Today, 221 local and 23 foreign inventions have been registered in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, which is of great importance,” he stated.
President of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Alireza Zali, also noted that the festival is an excellent opportunity to model the Iranian heritage.”
Regarding the personal life of Abu Reyhan Biruni, Zali pointed out that Biruni was a prominent writer and poet and did not stop researching even when traveling.
“11,000 written documents have been attributed to Abu Reyhan Biruni, which is definitely more than this and a large volume of it has been lost,” he stated.
He noted that Abu Reyhan has a special place in the Iranian culture, and his outstanding works can still be referred to in today’s models.
