Niamey (IP) - A group of people in the city of Niamey, the capital of Niger, took to the streets on Sunday evening once again to oppose the French military presence in their country and chanted slogans against France.

Iran PressAfrica: Nigerian security forces and police cracked down on citizens protesting against the French military presence in Niger and did not allow mass demonstrations to take place in Niamey.

Earlier, civil society organizations staged mass demonstrations on December 5, 2021, but police and security forces prevented the mass demonstrations.
