S.African envoy:
Vika Mazwi Khumalo

Tehran (IP) - South Africa's Ambassador to Tehran says lifting the sanctions on Iran brings about economic interest to the international community.

Iran PressIran News: Vika Mazwi Khumalo said that the US sanctions on Iran had disrupted South Africa's trade ties with the country's big companies.

Khumalo noted that his country did not recognize the West's sanctions on Iran but acknowledged that if the world's business enterprises intended to focus on trade with Iran, they would be punished by the US.

Iran and South Africa have excellent diplomatic relations, and the two countries have discussed critical points in the joint commissions, he said.

The South African envoy expressed hope that positive things would happen in Iran's nuclear talks with P4+1 on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) so that the economic interactions with the world were opened.
