Tehran (IP) - Highlighting the probable surge of the sixth corona wave, Iran's Interior Minister stressed that the continuation of the restrictions to containing the next Corona pandemic.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the 24th "Operational Meeting of the National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus", Ahmad Vahidi, Iranian Interior Minister said: "Given that 22 cities are in red zone and there is a possibility of increasing the numbers of infections, we should stay vigilant not let the six wave of the coronavirus disease flares up."  

Vahidi noted that for the red and orange cities, special groups will be sent to control and prevent the occurrence of the sixth wave, and all-out efforts must be made, as well as the strengthening of the necessary bases and needs.

The 24th Operational Meeting of the National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus was held at Iran's Interior Ministry chaired by the Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi on Tuesday to discuss the latest status of the corona pandemic.

Also, the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran delivered a report on the implementation of the nationwide restrictions.

Moreover, the report on the latest status of 'Martyr Soleimani Health Plan' presented by the Ministry of Health, and the latest situation in preparing the ground for the reopening of schools, were all discussed in the meeting.

Students are obliged to follow health protocols as schools reopen

With the reopening of schools, students are required to follow the maximum health guidelines to curb the coronavirus transmission chain in the schools.

Chaired by Iran's Deputy Health Minister, Qasem Jaan-Babaei, the meeting of the National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus was held at Shahid Rajaei Cardiovascular, Medical, and Research center on Tuesday morning with the attendance of 40 health officials and professors.

In the meeting, experts discussed the latest conditions of the reopening of schools, educational institutions, and universities as well as students' vaccination.

Continuation of E-learning was the other subject discussed in the meeting.
