Serie A: Milan 1-0 Torino
Giroud fires low-key Milan past Torino, top of Serie A

Olivier Giroud scored the only goal as AC Milan beat Torino on Tuesday to take Milan to the top of Serie A.

Iran PressEurope: Giroud, 35, scored from close range at the back post after good work from Rade Krunic after 14 minutes.

“We take the three points, that’s the most important,” Giroud said. "We play every three days and it’s very difficult for the body. Everything was not perfect, but we are very pleased with the win tonight. Torino is a tough team to play against.”

The France World Cup winner, who joined Milan after his Chelsea contract expired at the end of last season, has scored four times in six league games.
